  • We must read newspaper daily. “cannot help + verb-ing” = অবশ্যই করতে হয়। Affirmative এ “must” ব্যবহার হয়েছে।
  • Daily news is contained in it. Active → Passive। Object “daily news” subject হয়েছে।
  • It helps us in many ways. Passive → Active। “It” subject হয়ে কাজ করছে।
  • Without reading newspaper, we cannot enrich our knowledge. Positive meaning negative structure এ করা হয়েছে। “Without reading” ব্যবহার হয়েছে।
  • We call it the people’s parliament. Passive → Active। “We” subject যোগ করা হয়েছে।
  • It is more important than any other thing. Positive → Comparative। Rule: “so important as” → “more important than”.
  • Let us read newspaper to know the outside world more. Assertive → Imperative। Suggestion বোঝাতে “Let us” ব্যবহার হয়েছে।

এটা একটি proverb (প্রবাদ বাক্য)। তাই ending এ “saying” বা “goes the saying” ব্যবহার হয়। মানে: Health is wealth = স্বাস্থ্যের চেয়ে বড় সম্পদ নেই।

(b) Everybody should realize this truth to succeed in life.
“to + verb” (infinitive) ব্যবহার হয়েছে purpose বোঝাতে। মানে: জীবন সফল করতে এই সত্য বুঝা দরকার।

(c) If we follow the rules of health, we will be healthy.
If clause (first conditional) → present + future rule। মানে: নিয়ম মানলে আমরা সুস্থ থাকব।

(d) One can keep oneself safe by maintaining rules of health.
“by + verb-ing” structure = কিভাবে করা হয় তা বোঝায়। মানে: স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মানলে নিজেকে নিরাপদ রাখা যায়।

(e) Immune system can be developed by taking physical exercise regularly.
Passive structure + “by + verb-ing”। মানে: নিয়মিত ব্যায়াম করলে রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বাড়ে।

  • major → Majority Majority means অধিকাংশ people.   “Majority of her people” = বেশিরভাগ মানুষ।
  • fortunate → Unfortunately Prefix + suffix দুইটাই হয়েছে। fortunate → unfortunate → unfortunately
    Meaning = দুর্ভাগ্যবশত।
  • satisfactory → unsatisfactory Prefix “un” negative meaning দেয়। Unsatisfactory = সন্তোষজনক নয়। 
  • hard → hardly “Hardly” means কষ্টে / প্রায় না। “They can hardly lead…” = তারা খুব কষ্টে জীবন চালায়।
  • advantages → disadvantages Prefix “dis” opposite meaning দেয়। Disadvantages = অসুবিধা।
  • proper → properly Adjective থেকে adverb হয়েছে। Plough properly = ঠিকভাবে চাষ করা।
  • finance → financial Financial support = আর্থিক সহায়তা। 
  • technology → technological Technological support = প্রযুক্তিগত সহায়তা।
  • govern → government Govern (verb) → Government (noun). Government = সরকার।
  • convention → conventional Conventional method = প্রচলিত পদ্ধতি।
  • gradual → gradually Adjective → adverb. Gradually = ধীরে ধীরে।
  • effect → effective Effective = কার্যকর / সফলভাবে কাজ করে।

None negative meaning দেয়।

Sentence start capital (Once) হয়েছে।

Rafiq name তাই capital letter হয়েছে।
Direct speech তাই quotation marks ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

She asked, “What did he want?”
Reporting verb এর পরে comma (,) বসে।
Question sentence তাই (?) ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে।

I said, “His mother is ill. He needs some money. I have given him five hundred taka.”
Direct speech এর ভিতরে multiple sentences আছে, তাই full stop (.) ব্যবহার হয়েছে।
